Giving Options
Online : By contributing online, 100 percent of your contribution will go directly to Special Olympics Minnesota. Contribute via the Special Olympics website.
Workplace Giving: In the spirit of team work, challenge a friend or your office to match your gift or sponsor an athlete as a group! Please see the information below if your office participates in an annual giving campaign through the United Way or has a matching gift program.
United Way Write-In: While Special Olympics is not a designated United Way agency, you may still elect to have your workplace giving dollars directed to Special Olympics Minnesota by writing our name in the "other" charity line on your donation form and including our address for them to direct the donation.
Matching Gifts: The quickest way to double your gift! If your company participates in a matching gift program, simply include the company form with your donation to maximize the impact of your contribution. If your company does not currently have a matching gift program, encourage your Human Resources Director to consider adding this offering for the next year!
Membership in the Olympus Society: One crucial element of Special Olympics Minnesota is officially recognizing the dedication of our high-end contributors. To that end, we proudly announce the launch of our inaugural donor society, The Olympus Society. Named for the vision, values and ideals of the Olympic spirit, The Olympus Society of Special Olympics Minnesota is a growing group of individuals who share a desire to ensure our mission and vision today and long into the future. Contributions enable us to continually expand the sports training, leadership skill development programs and health screenings that are so vital to Minnesotans with intellectual disabilities. Please contact Pam Byrd or call 612-604-1250 for additional information on membership. Learn More about the Olympus Society.

Other Ways to Donate
Birthday, Wedding or Memorial Gifts: Flowers fade, but our programs literally change lives. By enclosing the name and address of the honoree or family with your gift, Special Olympics Minnesota will send a personalized card notifying them of your donation. Special requests may be directed to Pam Byrd at 612-604-1250 (or toll-free in Minnesota at 800-783-7732, ext. 283).
Donate your vehicle: Get a tax break and make some room in your garage! Special Olympics Minnesota accepts vehicle donations. To make a fair market value donation of your driveable vehicle or boat, please e-mail Pam Byrd, call 612-604-1250 (or toll-free in Minnesota at 800-783-7732, ext. 250) or donate directly through Cars With Heart and select Special Olympics Minnesota.
Stock Transfer: If a cash donation is not currently of interest, please consider the tax benefits of a stock transfer to Special Olympics Minnesota. Your tax or legal advisor can provide with the specifics and financial implications of this giving option, or please feel free to contact Pam Byrd or call 612-604-1250 for additional, basic information on a transfer of stock.
Planned Gifts: It is highly recommended that donors consult with their own tax or legal advisors prior to making a planned gift. Planned giving integrates a donor's charitable gift with his or her overall financial, tax and estate planning goals to maximize benefits to both the donor and Special Olympics Minnesota. Planned gifts typically come from a donor's assets rather than income and can be either outright or deferred. Some types of gifts include:
Wills Trusts - Charitable Lead Trust, Charitable Remainder Trust Charitable Gift Annuities Real Estate Life Insurance Mutual Funds Pooled Income Fund Donor Advised Fund
