The Minnesota Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is governed by the Executive Council. This group of dedicated individuals utilizes the enthusiasm, support, and resilience of officers throughout the State of Minnesota in their respective roles to advance the mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run.

State Director
The State Director is responsible for working in collaboration with Special Olympics Minnesota Staff to ensure policies and procedures of LETR are reviewed, updated, maintained and followed and representing the MN Law Enforcement Torch Run program at events across the state.

Regional Chairpersons
Regional Chairpersons are responsible for communicating information amongst the Minnesota LETR Executive Council, Special Olympics Minnesota (SOMN), Regional Coordinators within their region as well as Agency Liaisons within their regions. In addition to identifying Agency Liaisons, they assist in recruiting new LETR participants within their perspective region.
Selections Chairperson
This position manages the Selections Committee that oversees the selection and nominations of various awards at the state as well as the international levels.
Special Olympics Minnesota Athletes
Two Special Olympics Minnesota athletes who have completed the Leadership Program Global Messenger course will serve on the Executive Council. The athletes and their mentors represent Minnesota athletes and provide reports from the Athlete Input Council.
Special Olympics Minnesota State Office
These staff members serve as liaison between the Executive Council and SOMN state office.
LETR State Advisors
These advisors are either SOMN senior management or past LETR Directors. Leaders in this position offer experience, guidance and direction to the council. This is a non-voting position.
